Oral-Genital Sex Fellatio and Cunnilingus Sexual Behavior

Views on Oral Genital Sex and Contact

From my perspective, our views on oral-genital sex (fellatio and/or cunnilingus) have shifted from a conservative to a liberal stance. In many societies during the past there have been very conservative views on sexual behavior in general. It seems that views in the United States, at least, are becoming less strict, especially when it comes to oral sex. We see campaigns which have started mainly to reduce issues with HIV/AIDS, other STDs, an unplanned/teenage pregnancy; but they do not focus so much on Read the rest of this entry »

Fowl Pills – Jamaican Weight Gain Pills

Fowl Pills

Chicken Fowl Pills Weight Gain

One subject of controversy is the use of fowl pills from Jamaica for weight gain. In some cultures, the ideal body form for women is a larger more curvy shape, in contrast with the extremely skinny body type many people are socialized to prefer (or just say they prefer) in the United States. In Jamaican culture the girls desire to have large bottoms and breasts.  They take this to such an extreme that they take fowl pills in an attempt to Read the rest of this entry »

Gay Rights Organizations Online

The online presence that many gay rights organizations have developed serves as an important base for people interested in gay rights. These organizations act as central places where activists can get the latest news as well as collaborate and share ideas and resources and organize projects to further the causes of that particular organization. In general these organizations provide support for one another and organize events that will further promote gay rights.

Culture-bound syndromes: Windigo Psychosis, Susta, Latah, Amok, Pibloktoq

Culture-bound syndromes are disorders which are thought to be seen only within specific cultures. There is much debate over these culture-bound syndromes. Some people believe that these disorders are simply expressions and perceptions of syndromes which exist across other cultures. Others believe that culture-bound syndromes arise due to differences in the enculturation/socialization process, or from biological differences, and that these syndromes are truly unique to these cultures. We are still not sure, but Culture-bound syndromes such as latah, amok, windigo psychosis, susto, and pibloktoq can be Read the rest of this entry »

Giving PMS a Medical Diagnosis – Sexual Anatomy & Gender Issues

  • Are there benefits to giving PMS a medical diagnosis?
  • Are there biological drawbacks?
  • What are the pros and cons?
  • do you feel that PMS is “all in the head” or do you feel that a biological component exists?
  • Should it be a legal defense?
  • Do you think there are gender differences in opinion about this? If so, elaborate on what you think they are

There are benefits to giving PMS a medical diagnosis. A medical diagnosis allows PMS to be looked at from the proper perspective to allow for proper research to be put into the disorder. If we thought that PMS was all in the head rather than having a medical diagnosis, we wouldn’t be as inclined to study ways to relieve its symptoms from a medical standpoint.
